  • Protein is an essential macronutrient for the maintenance and growth of muscle mass, especially for puppies, dogs that exercise a lot, and older dogs.
  • It also contains fiber, iron, magnesium, Omega 3 and 6.
  • It also has high quality essential and non-essential amino acids.

The collagen

The collagen For dogs it is a protein present in the tissues of our body.

In the skin, hair, joints, cartilage, nails, ligaments, tendons, hematological tissue, adipose tissue, and different organs.

Its mission is to give firmness and elasticity to skin and joint tissues, avoiding pain.

Properties of collagen for dogs:

  • Repairs tissues and helps give them flexibility and elasticity.
  • Improves the condition of the joints in degenerative processes, giving greater mobility.
  • Prevents muscle injuries and helps with ligament resistance.
  • Helps regenerate fractures and injuries.
  • Reduces muscle and joint pain, lameness, hernias or osteoarthritis.
  • Gives greater strength and resistance to nails and teeth.
  • It keeps skin and hair healthy and protects them from external threats.
  • Improves vision.
  • Protects gastrointestinal transit, helping to heal gastric injuries.

Ingredients of Hemp Protein and Collagen for Dogs

  • Bovine Collagen: protein present in skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscles and connective tissue.
  • OMEGA 3 (ALA): precursors of the fatty acids DHA (Brain, Cell Membrane, Retina) and EPA (anti-inflammatory).
  • PROTEIN: structural role of cells, participates in the renewal of muscle tissues, appendages, bone matrix, skin, etc.
  • Calcium (3%): formation and strength of bones and teeth/involved in blood clotting and muscle contraction
  • Sodium: balances fluid levels in the body.
  • Magnesium: intervenes in the transmission of nerve impulses and therefore in muscle contraction.
  • Potassium: ensures communication between neurons and other cells, and participates in the transmission of nerve impulses.
  • Iron (10%): constituent of hemoglobin and myoglobin (muscular oxygen storage).
  • Carbohydrates (Starch): energy reserve for the body.
  • Group B vitamins: produce energy and ensure the proper functioning of the nervous system.

Amino acids

  • Alanine: produces energy and white blood cells.
  • Arginine: reduces cholesterol levels, vasodilator effect, acts on muscle development and stimulates growth hormones.
  • Aspartic Acid: produces energy, helps resist fatigue and fights viruses, parasites and infections.
  • Cystine: promotes hormone production, supports fatty acid synthesis, prevents arthritis and repairs DNA.
  • Glutamic Acid: improves attention and memory capacity. It stimulates growth hormones, promotes glycogen storage and has healing properties.
  • Histidine (essential AA): it is essential during growth, it is a powerful vasodilator, protects the nerves and helps digestion of proteins.
  • Isoleucine (essential AA): promotes energy production, is a source of muscle energy, improves resistance, helps hemoglobin production and regulates glucose levels.
  • Leucine (essential AA): promotes the healing process of bones and muscles, stimulates growth hormones and is a source of muscle energy.
  • Lysine (essential AA): participates in the formation of collagen (requires vitamin C), promotes the healing of wounds and burns, forms antibodies, metabolizes carbohydrates and is necessary for growth.
  • Methionine (essential AA): antioxidant that promotes the fluidity of cell membranes, and participates in the degradation of lipids and the synthesis of neurotransmitters.
  • Phenylalanine (essential AA): reduces pain, produces neurotransmitters, antidepressant and promotes brain chemical balance.
  • Proline: essential amino acid for collagen synthesis and contributes to wound healing.
  • Serine: contributes to muscle growth and muscle recovery by synthesizing creatine.
  • Threonine (essential AA): ensures the formation of collagen and is also an active agent of digestion
  • Tryptophan (essential AA): antidepressant, fights insomnia and stimulates growth hormone.
  • Tyrosine: stimulates growth hormones and is an excellent mood regulator.
  • Valine (essential AA): produces muscle energy, mental stimulant and helps in tissue repair.
